Not to repeat myself, but do you realize the scope of the calvalcade of rawk descending on Dallas soon?

(In case you didn’t know, there are two performance spaces at Gypsy Tea Room. Hence the apparent overlap.)
It’s just not fair. March 17 is just brutal. The bolded shows indicate where I think I’ll be — but turning down Broken Social Scene? And the Spree? It’s just not fair.

I think the main reason most of the bands are going to be here is they’re coming up after SXSW.
actually, it’s before sxsw. (the music portion of sxsw, at least. i doubt they’ll be joining me to learn about content management systems at the interactive conference.)
Aw,you poor, poor thing.I’d mock you further, but the envy and jealousy are clouding my head. Can’t go wrong with the Calexico/Sleepy Jackson show.2nd choice probably would be a tie between the Pedro/Ester Drang/Vanderslice show and Broken Social Scene. The Spree’s good too,but it’s not like they won’t be back soon. You gotta come home and wash those robes sometime.
I know how you feel- I am torn, too. Broken Social Scene is going to be great though. After seeing 3 polyphonic shows, the whole disney part of them is getting to me. Maybe I will go see them again when the new CD comes out, but until then, tripping daisy stays in my CD player. Polyphonic needs to create their own new sound and not fall back on what tripping daisy created.
