crappy cdmom

Now don’t take this the wrong way — I’m sure the CD you sent me this month is great.
But Jesus Christ, people sent me some crappy music this month.

  1. no, sinclair, your mix was good. but the sea of crap that surrounds it!
for the record, this will be the last time i say “no, your mix was good.” other traders shouldn’t bother to seek similar pats on the back.

  2. i just gotta know, how many copies of “welcome to the jungle” did you get?
you should pulish a list of the top 50 most repeated music on the mixes.

  3. I rather liked mine… and there was no “Welcome to the Jungle” Uuuugggghhh, what a horrid song.

  4. Hmm … well, I’ll just have to take my chances when I get around to sending in a mix.
I’ll bet there won’t be any dupes on mine, though. 🙂

  5. It was probably mine, Sorry Josh, I still consider myself new at this mix thang, and I am trying dammit!!! 🙁

  6. Crappy music? Moi? I have the musical tastes of a 14 year-old on acid. That’s one of the reasons why I joined your CD Club: to pick up new music. So far, I must have really lucked out because I enjoyed every single CD I received. I enjoyed the CD billsimp sent you, I also re-discovered MC Solar, the father of French Rap. I wish you would recognize the contribution people make to your music collection as well as recognizing those who, well, did not make such a great contribution – what do you mean you don’t like H & Claire?
Finalement, thanks for all your efforts, you are doing all of us a big favour. Did you know that those Canadian dollars I sent your way are doing very well against your greenback? For the first time in two years, you need less than $1.50 cdn for $1 US!

  7. Please, people, could you cut the self-loathing? I got 240 CDs in the mail — there’s no reason for any one of you to assume I was referring to you. And I think a look at any of my track listings would show I’m neither anti-rap or anti-world music. Geez…

  8. i think what josh is talking about are the people who quite obviously couldn’t give a rat’s ass about their mixes. some of them are wonderful. (hell, i’ll name names…pushkin sanchez, if you’re out there, you f’ing rock.)
it’s the ones who put the latest korn/nsync/strokes song on there that i want to reach through the next mailbox i see and smack. (note: i hate the strokes. i know josh likes the strokes. so, suck is relative.)
but then, i quit making mixes for this a bit ago. along with not having the time, i felt my quality start to lack. i knew when to stop, kiddies. i just wish we all did.
