I had a middling story in today’s paper, on the University of Texas’ efforts to attract minority students.
My boss is off this week, and we’ll see whether that will translate into my usual slackerly behavior. I hope not; I’ve got way too much work to do for that to happen. So, since I’ll be busy, a few stories far more interesting than mine to keep you entertained:

Ahem. I repeat: lefties aren’t nearly as cool as they think they are.
What do Aussies know of America? They’re, like, waaaay far away. From everyone. Except Kiwis, who also don’t know America. Canadians! Now we, WE, know America. I know Seattle pretty well, at least. That Australian doesn’t even mention Seattle.
And lefties can be cool – if they are Australian professors who can lecture on America while envisioning a Europe overrun by the Hun, due to ingesting shark cartilage as part of an NIH study.
