Wow. For what it’s worth, I’d recommend a flight to Hartford or LaGuardia & a train to New Haven. Amtrak & Metro North trains from Penn Station to New Haven are plentiful and fast.
Um, it has belatedly occurred to me that if you went to Yale you’d be perfectly capable of figuring out the best way to get to New Haven. I’ll stop doling out advice now.
Trust me, I can always use all the help I can get.
I used to always fly into LaGuardia and take a bus up. (When I had a couple pieces of luggage with me, I didn’t want to bother with taking the long subway ride to Grand Central to schlep onto Metro North.) My contemporary Yale sources tell me flying into Bradley is now the way to go, so that’s probably what I’ll do.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll pass it along to a relate who’s planning to visit Yale this summer. Oh yeah, and of course you’re right that Metro North runs out of Grand Central. I always take the Amtrak trains from Penn Station, so I never remember.
