  1. No kidding. First of all, journalist might not be in war,but they are on the front lines of murders and disasters and sad, sad stories. And I never heard the f word as much as I do in newsrooms. It just doesn’t get in print. She’s a @#$#$%$!! moron.

  2. damn right, you two. i invited my cop reporter friend a few months ago to talk to my high school journalism students about her beat. the written reaction from one kid? “I knew vulgarity and profanity saturates our society, but i never knew it was so prevalent in the newsroom … i know now what i’ll take with me on my first day on the job: disposable earplugs.”
p.s. the crime reporter felt quite distressed to think a high school student was disturbed by her potty mouth.

  3. I’ve never set foot in a newsroom, but I think she needs a fucking clue. Hell, I work in an ad agency and that word is all over the place (especially close to deadlines). I can only imagine what the newsroom of any major paper is like.
