trip up north to boston, rochester, toronto, toledo

The crabwalk.com Summer Tour 2002 is set to begin! From August 9 to 18, I’ll be touring our nation’s northern tier (and Ontario’s southern tier), meeting with friends and readers and probably drinking too much. (Call it a “listening tour.”) I’ll be stopping in Boston, Toronto, and Toledo. Parties interested in buying me a beer are asked to file the appropriate paperwork soon.

  1. Aha … so who is the sugar mama buying your ticket? Or is it only on trips to the Bay Area that you require the host to pay? Enjoy Toledo. Wish I could be there!

  2. when are your toronto dates? do you have a place to stay? we will definitely be getting together, and I’m going to try to find a Trivial Pursuit board somewhere!!

  3. I’d appreciate it if you’d delay your arrival in Toledo at least a couple days…I’ve run into some red tape getting clearance from the Port Authority for the African elephants and seven troupes of gong-banging belly dancers in your welcome parade.

  4. Alas, I will most likely miss your Northern Tour because I’ll probably be in God’s Country (North Dakota for the nonbelievers) that same time. However, it’s possible I might be there the last day you’re in town if Toledo is your last stop.

  5. Josh, I do not lie and neither does Gerald Hall, apparently.
Armed with pens, notepads, and a discerning eye for what tourists seek out on leisurely weekends, travel writers from as far away as Vancouver and New York stopped through Toledo yesterday for a quick tour of what the Glass City has to offer.
What Gerald Hall found was “impressive” and “encouraging.”
