from minor threat to minor midwestern city

Jeff Nelson moves to Toledo, puts a bunch of anti-Bush signs in his front yard.
Why is this noteworthy? Jeff Nelson was the drummer of uber-influential D.C. hardcore band Minor Threat and co-founder (with Ian MacKaye) of uber-influential indie label Dischord Records.
Why in the world did one of the world’s hardcore godfathers move from D.C. to Toledo? Not clear, although this alleged explanation — a supposed Jeep fetish coupled with the relatively cheap availability of dilapidated Victorian mansions — could be as true as anything.

  1. hello, my name is Heather, and I was searching for random MP3s and I found one. it said that it was by Everclear, but it in no way sounded like the current (well, now broken up) Everclear. there was a link attached to the mp3, and it was to your website… but I want and looked up the CD that the song is on and I found it, but the only thing is that the song was made in like 1991, and the everclear of today has only been togeather since 1994. and since it had been linked to your site, i was hoping that maybe you could tell me about this ‘old Everclear’
